At least 27 people were killed across South Bengal districts in lightning strikes on Monday afternoon with Hooghly alone accounting for 11 deaths and Murshidabad nine. Two each were killed in West Midnapore, East Midnapore and Bankura and one in Nadia. Three of the deceased were women
पश्चिम बंगाल के अलग-अलग जिलों में आकाशीय बिजली गिरने की घटनाओं ने कुल 27 लोगों की जान ली है। सबसे अधिक नुकसान मुर्शिदाबाद और हुगली के इलाके में हुआ। मुर्शिदाबाद में 9 और हुगली में 11 लोगों ने अपनी जान गंवाई। इसके अलावा पश्चिम मिदनापुर, पूर्वी मिदनापुर और बांकुरा में 2-2 लोगों की मौत हुई। वहीं एक शख्स की मौत नादिया जिले में हुई है। मरने वाले लोगों में 3 महिलाएं भी शामिल हैं।
